SCANDAL! Cubans controlling Venezuela’s security, intelligence, and armed forces
When Dr. Janoi Gonzalez landed at Venezuela’s Simon Bolivar International Airport he felt as if he had never left Cuba. “There wasn’t one Venezuelan there, the entire operation was run by Cubans,” he said, referring to an area of the airport under military control and for official use only known as Gate 4.
The radiology expert, who is originally from Pinar del Rio, entered the country on a midday afternoon in December of 2012 and none of his documents were reviewed by any Venezuelan authority. “There is no immigration check. Some Cuban officials give you a few words of welcome, one or two Viva Chavez and the revolution, and then they stamp your passport. The stamp states: “Valid only for Cuba Venezuela.”
