On Cyber Radio (Updated)

Citizen journalists gone Cuban.

You can hear me make a fool of myself live at 3 PM EST today on the Citizen Journalist Report on Rightalk Radio. I’ll be reading one of my blog posts and fielding a few questions from Bill “Guillermo” Ardolino of INDC Journal and Jeff “El Jefe” Goldstein of Protein Wisdom.

Prendan las velitas, caballeros…

UPDATE: Just a little reminder to all of you to take what you hear with a grain of salt.

  1. Congratulations, my right-talkin’-the-talk, walkin’-the-walk friend!
    ALL CANDLES ARE LIT.
AND A BONFIRE UNDER THE ASS OF CAGASTRO TOO!

  2. QUICK LINKS

Am flying home this morning. Back later. Meantime, here’s some good stuff ’round the blogosphere… Cassandra at Villanous Company takes down Jack Shafer. Tom Maguire takes on Nick Kristof. Blogger radio today: Goldstein and Ardolino host the Citizen J…

  3. Bamalama-Bingo!

Don’t forget that INDCent Bill and Proteinated Jeff are doing their “peppy” radio thang this afternoon. This week, Ace and Babalu Blog’s Val Pietro will be aboard. No word about whether O-Dub will make an appearance or whether, in their…

  4. Como se llama el dulce ese que esta en la foto? I’m thinking it’s a Panetela Borracha or “borrachita” but I’m not sure. I haven’t had one of those in ages! Ya me entro hambre…

  5. Just listened to the radio interview, looks like those guys really did their homework and asked great questions. I hope that’s not the only outlet representing the right.
anyway Val, too bad, it could have been so much more interesting.

  6. Great reading!
Is it just me, or did the guys not quite research Cuba, Cuban-Americans, this blog, you?
I mean, unless you’re living under a rock, everyone knows who castro is.
Oscar’s right, this could have gone in a better direction.

  7. Good job Val. You indeed have an “authentic” Miami accent. 😉

Frankly, I was expecting better questions from Jeff and Bill. Maybe next time they have you on they can let you go into more detail about Cuban-Americans.

  8. Just FYI, they know who Castro is, know the difference between Mexico and Cuba and the pinata thing, they just like sarcasm a little too much. I’m sorry that they didn’t take the segment more seriously. But that’s who they are, so you have to find a way to get your message across and humor them at the same time. I recommend “cubanisms” next time. I think that would suit the style of Jeff’s show.

But Val, no doubt you did good. You sounded awesome. Peace. –s

  9. For the record, we took the segment very seriously. We just let Val come off as the informed one.

Honestly. I know more about Cuba than he does. And I speak fluent Cuban, too.
