Photo of the day – Art imitates life (sort of…)

Via La Patilla, we learn and see that in the Venezuelan city of San Carlos, residents awoke this weekend to find that their statue of the Marxist, murderous psychopath Ernesto “Ché” Guevara had disappeared, his boots the only thing remaining. In a case reminiscent of art imitating life, the statue may have talked a mean game, but was quickly and easily subdued by some pranksters. Nevertheless, it would be safe to surmise that the statue put up a tougher fight than the cowardly Ché who when captured, pleaded for his life after timidly surrendering without firing a single shot from his fully-loaded rifle.
