Famous Charles Rangel / Fidel Castro Abrazo in Harlem

aaapoiaaaaaoml

Now here’s Congressman Charles Rangel FULMINATING in FAVOR of an embargo:

“The U.S. has held ideals of freedom for more than 200 years and we should not tolerate their abrogation by any other country…In any business dealings with (South Africa) we become tainted by association. We urge a policy of comprehensive sanctions. Of total disinvestment, a complete ban on imports and exports…in other words we urge adoption of a policy that demonstrates our total abhorrence of apartheid!”

And no, this video link does NOT show the crowd reaction to the Rolling Stones current “50 and Counting Tour.” It’s Fidel Castro speaking in Harlem in 1995, where you can also see Jose Serrano bear-hugging Fidel.

  1. But of course Rangel (like the Congressional Black Caucus) isn’t hypocritical or anything. It’s just that, you know, some things are PC and some are not, and political OPERATORS act accordingly. Nothing personal, necessarily, just the way the game is played. Nobody said the game is about truth or ethics or justice. Well, yes, it’s SUPPOSED to be about those things, and there’s much lip service to that effect, but nobody actually believes it, and certainly nobody observes it in practice. Rangel can’t help it if some people, like “those people,” persist in taking offense over a perfectly “normal” state of affairs. If he saw this post, I expect he might say “I pity the fools.”
