My Unlce is a doctor in Alabama! When he first came to the USA back in 62, he was washing dishes to make a living and studying to become a Board Certified doctor in the USA. As soon as he passed the Board exam, the first job offered to him was in Birmingham, Alabama. He has since retired there and lives there till this moment. He and his wife raised 3 children in Alabama and they do not speak Spanish, however they understand. His youngest child was born in Alabama, and his 2 oldest were born in Cuba but were raised in Alabama.
