Cuban State Security dispatched to force 13 individuals suspected of coronavirus infection into isolation

While the Cuba news feeds are overflowing with stories about how well the socialist Castro dictatorship is handling COVID-19, State Security on the island is rounding up Cubans suspected of having the virus and forcing them into government isolation camps.

Via Periodico Cubano (my translation):

On Sunday afternoon, April 5th, a police operation in the town of Batabano in the province of Mayabeque forcibly removed 13 individuals and took them to isolation centers after testing positive for coronavirus. The news comes from a Facebook post by a user that goes by the name “El Latigo Cubano” [The Cuban Whip].

According to the details provided, the incident took place on 68th street in the town when health authorities detected an outbreak of the disease. It has not been confirmed if they used “rapid results” tests the Cuban government received as a donation from China.

[…]

The images show how an old bus marked as “Giron” was used to transport the individuals to an isolation camp while two patrol cars guide the operation.

It’s no surprise the same media that praises communist China’s mendacious and brutally oppressive handling of coronavirus is also praising Cuba’s communist dictatorship, which is rounding up Cubans against their will and putting them in isolation camps.

  1. It’s just the prime directive being followed. The “revolution” (aka Castro, Inc.) must be protected.
