The Religion of Peace (Part ?)

Here are two interesting articles, one in JihadWatch dealing on a Taliban leader claiming Osama bin Laden is dead, and the other in DhimmiWatch about an honor killing in Germany:

At age 16, all Morsal Obeidi wanted was to live the way other girls in Germany do. She paid dearly: Obeidi’s brother stabbed her 20 times. Her murder has sparked a renewed debate in Germany about the failure of many immigrant families to integrate into Western society.
[…]
Ahmad Obeidi, 23, is a strong, athletic young man. Morsal tried to run away, but she stumbled and fell. Ahmad stood over her and continued to stab her, five times, ten times, still silent as he swung his right arm up and down over his sister’s body. He seemed intoxicated. The police counted 20 stab wounds, inflicted with such force that Ahmad would later wear a bandage on his right forearm.
Morsal screamed, waking up the residents of the apartment building. Passersby called the police. Ahmad fled to a nearby subway station, and Mohammed followed him. The two cousins boarded a train, where they sat silently across from each other, a killer and his accomplice.
Morsal died.

The Religion of Peace, American Style (PM Update)

Well, they keep telling us what they think of us, what they want to do to us, what their endgame is. I pray we are keeping tabs on these pious adherents to the Religion of Peace®. Islam requires that three warnings be given the infidel before doing what they’ve done for centuries. By my count, this is warning #2. Let’s stop them before the third.
In an “unrelated” story, the editor of the Oakland Tribune, Chauncey Bailey, was gunned down, execution style, last week. Fortunately, Oakland Police were able to make several arrests in the case. The culprits? Members of a group calling itself “Your Black Muslim Bakery” have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Bailey had been requesting financial records of the group for a story that was to appear in the Tribune.

And from Michelle Malkin, comes this little gem that I had not heard about until a five minutes ago:

Authorities closed a highway outside Charleston for more than five hours Saturday night after police found explosives in the trunk of a car, a newspaper reported, citing an FBI agent. Julie Johnson, assistant special agent-in-charge for the FBI in Columbia, said there was “no immediate threat,” according to The (Charleston) Post and Courier.
Law enforcement officials closed the road about 7 p.m. after the traffic stop in Goose Creek, home to the Naval Weapons Station. The station houses the U.S. Naval Consolidated Brig, a military prison where enemy combatants have been held.

The Religion of Peace, from the inside

Read this excellent op-ed piece (‘Muslim heads stuck firmly in the sand’) in the Times of London by an ex-jihadist, Hassan Butt speaks out:

[…]I disagree with those who say the pressing problem is simply how do we deal with an aberrant, extreme minority who have unleashed a reign of terror on Britain–rather, I believe the heart of the matter is Islam itself and how its teachings are interpreted. If we isolate the problem to that of the extreme fringe, then we are merely skimming the surface.
What we Muslims need to do is go back to our books: we need to debate the teachings that are used to radicalise young men and legitimise the killing of innocent people. We need to discuss and refashion the set of rules that govern how Muslims — whose homes and souls are firmly planted in the West — live alongside non-Muslims. Only when we do this can we successfully dissect the radicals’ interpretation of Islam and fight back against terrorism.
We can no longer turn a blind eye to the driving force behind terror attacks both at home and abroad. It should not matter how painful or embarrassing this admission may be, and nor should it matter how taboo this subject is.

I guess he’s just another anti-Islamic bigot telling the truth…

The Religion of Peace kidnaps two Fox journalists (Updated)

Michelle Malkin is having a blogburst today today to get the news out about the two Fox News journalists kidnapped in Gaza.

Fox News Channel reporter Steve Centanni and freelance cameraman Olaf Wiig are still missing. It has now been more than a week since their kidnapping at gunpoint in Gaza by unknown terrorists. FNC top management, the journalists’ families, and Palestinian journalists continue to press for their release.

Let’s all pray for their safe return.

Update: On a related note, our good friend Josue from TownHall.com and formerly from LatinoIssues.com posted links to videos of two interviews with Melanie Phillips, author of Londonistan and a columnist for the Daily Mail. Folks, in my humble opinion, Ms. Phillips is voicing voicing the twenty-first century’s version of Paine’s Common Sense. Listen carefully to what she says. It is critical information.

Londonistan update: Melanie Phillips on Fox
Monday, August 21, 2006 3:54 PM

I wrote a few days ago about the new book, Londonistan. HotAir is featuring a video clip of author Melanie Phillips — you got to watch it.

I’m giving you the whole clip, only because she doesn’t get many invites to do American TV. For reasons that will soon become apparent. Kudos to Paul Gigot and the Journal Editorial Report for having her on.

She goes further than I’m willing to go in her proposed solutions to the problem, but perhaps that’s because she appreciates its magnitude more acutely than I do. Ten airplanes blowing up over the Atlantic would have turned a lot of people to her position. How many liberties did Britain’s security services save by foiling the plot? […]

Update: Neil Cavuto had her on as well. You can watch that one on YouTube right here. […]

P.S., I have already ordered my copy from Amazon.

The Religion of Peace?

Nicojones.

Good friend Aaron of Aarons cc has been hacked repeatedly for the past few weeks. He was down for close to ten days all because he exercized his freedom of expression and posted numerous Mohammed cartoons. All the hackers were traced to Saudi Arabia.

Today, these purveyors of peace via religion have hacked Aaron’s internet host company Hosting Matters and taken down a slew of bloggers, including Instapundit, Captains Quarters, Powerline and many many others through Denial of Service attacks.

So, in solidarity with my buddy Aaron, I give you the prophet Mohammed:

And a brief message to those Islamist extremists out there:

It’s the fucking twenty-first century, assholes, hurry up and catch up with the rest of us.

Michelle Malkin has more.
